How to Even Start?

Or where to find the time to write about what I have been going through getting used to this new position.
It'll be a shame that I'm not recording the details of this trip for future reflection.

Last night I had a fantastic dream where I saw a golden city from a mountain top (I had to climb a steep slope to get to see the view)...and then travelled to the city and looked back towards the mountain...it was also golden.

Valentines Day

Wonderful celebration last night...dinner...music...wine
Very touching...
I got Loren 2 loaves of (rasin) bread and an hyachinth.
The persian saying goes:
"if you have 2 loaves of bread, sell one and buy a hyacinth."
I owe her a poem...

Stats Feb 20

We spent several minutes at about 160-162 bpm...probably contributed to a higher average...if in fact it is higher than normal.

In comparison with Jan 30th ave hr was 156 and %fat was 30. Dropping the ave hr by 5bpm seemed to have a 5% increase in fat burn. I know why this happens, but it surprises me by how drastic the change is, given how far above 55% of max this range is.

Dinner With Drew

Wednesday night was very nice. It was a double-date. It's been a long time that Loren and I have been to dinner anywhere other than Al's or Hannah and Colin's.

Drew and Coleen, me and Loren.
Leek-potato soup.
Ham and asparigus stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in a light pastry, served with glazed carrots and potatos.
Very nice French wine...will have to find out more about that.
Pumpkin-custard pastry, and a great espresso for dessert.

We laughed quite a bit...and had a really good time.
Interesting to see Drew with someone he likes so much...I think they've been together for 10 days or so??
They plans seem to be long term...they're making plans well into the year, including vacation plans.

Asana

Charles stopped by and we did 5 As and 5 Bs standing postues twice, then stopped at purvatanasana.
Colin was absent as he just got back into town from Philly. I think he was with Hannah and Magnans.

I'm working on an audio project. It'll be a recording which will lead us through 108 sun salutations. I really want to try this...but see counting them to be a problem.

The plan is to do 105 As with one breath in Ado-muka, and 3 full Bs.
I think it'll be a challenge for all of us...

Nice Weekend

Lots of rest.
And lots of chores.

Hannah and Colin came for dinner Saturday night.
We all had a nice time, though there was a bit of an awkward vibe. Hannah's son had been in a car accident earlier that day. He has broken bones in his foot, and cuts and brusies.

Spent sunday cleaning the kitchen...it's quite spotless right now...I even did the muffin tray.

I digitized some of the music Ed and I recorded on mini disc last weekend. We did 3 versions of Firewood and Kettle, and 3 versions of Cake Stomp, plus one version of 1st Schism. It was our first time playing with Cyber-Glen.

Ed has pretty much disected several of the tunes we did years (15??) back, and transferred them to midi with base and a click-track. It is a good set up right now...I've just learned quite a bit about how Ed has restructued the arrangements after having listenned to them during the capture.

I also pretty much completed my other audio project.
I now have 108 sunsalutations on mp3. I set it so so that I've got 105 As with one breath in down-dog (perhaps 1/2 a breath?? it's going to be hard to fit the movement in), and 3 full Bs. I'm sure those full 5-count breaths in down-dog are going to be killers. Turns out the entire routine is 3377 seconds, or about 56 minutes.

It'll be my first time doing this (108 sunsals). The closest I came previously was after Luna died. I think I did 40 minutes of sunsals...no counting. This will be very different.

Part of the way I'm justifying it is that Charles and Colin can benefit from the repitition no?

Rebirth

I had one, Friday night.
Touch the Sound played on the documentary channel.
Oh my my...

Can't wait to share it with Ed and Corey.
