Pages

My life is going by
And I'm not managing get much of it into these pages. I am defeating the purpose of having set up this blog...

I'm embarrased to admit that one of the reasons I've finally gotten around to writing is that the laptop is back in town... Gilles is back from Japan. His course was six weeks...exactly when was my last entry?? Not that I usually use the laptop for writing. I should be able to find time to write during the day, and to not have to resort to writing just before bed.

Asana
Well...
Thursday nights have been sailing along quite nicely. Typically Charles Colin Gilles and I set out the mats at 295 and have a go at a small part of primary series. I've edited an audio recording which has sun sals (5 and 5) standing postures and seated until janu A, back bends and finishing.

The guys are finally getting to feel the rythm of jumping/vinyasa.
I've decided that they need a teacher, so we're going to be inviting Christine over once a month as a Mysore teacher. It'll do us all a lot of good. Christine is great to agree to offer house visits.

I don't think I wrote about joining Karen for 108 sun sals for her birthday...or for the folllow on session of 108 suan sals for my birthday...well how can it get any better than being surrounded by friends doing 108 and clebrating with bubbly, chocolate, and a bit of apricot torte???? I am blessed.

Taking Amber out to see Bozzio, Wackerman, and Minnemann (Minnemann 's playing took my breath away!!) was also an event worth writing about when it was fresh in my mind. Corey and I watched Touch the Sound after the show...I do believe that I recall writing about having a rebith experience when I watched it the first time a few weeks ago?? Or is it months now?

Loren and I had a great weekend, lots of rest and lots of chores...including washing most of the windows and horizantal blinds. We watched Noi Albinoi, I think I liked it more than Loren did.

The battery is dying...Minnemann soloing on dvd in the background...gonna save and call it a night...try to finish the post early in the morning before I goet off to work.

Dollard\Victoria

Long weekend in this fine province.
Too much rain to mow the lawn :-)

We've been having a good laid-back weekend so far. Friday night we went out to celebrate Colin's birthday. He chose a very funky restaurant. We had fabulous food and wine.

Saturady we slept in, I did some postures at 295 and we watched TheTerminal later in the evening. Sunday Ed coame over for the first time in a long while and we did some music-stuff. Tuning the levels with the Quadraverb in the mix, and some recording of the covers we're planning to do Peaches in Regalia, 12st Century Schizoid Man. Basiclly Ed laid down click tracks with midi bass (cyberGlen) and his live playing for me to use as practice tracks.

Monday (today)we slept in again, not so late though...and we're off to ikea. Loren says we have to have a 20$ budget! Later we'll both do postures at 295.

I'm going to get to bed early to ease the early morning routine I have planned.

Bonne fete de Dollard!

20$ Budget

Well it turned out that Loren let me spend more than 20$ at ikea!
We got small stuff...cutting boards napkins etc.
I got a spring-stretched awning. I'm going to try to place in the back for shade over the hammock.
They had an affordable (compared to Canadian Tire) gazeebo. We diddn't pick it up.

Though we did get more sparkling apple cider!

1/4 Notes

Amber was over last night (and Karen too).
Sent her home with her new metronome and a bit of home-play (work).
8 exercises, 40 bpm, for 2 minutes each all played on the 1:
1-R&L together
2-Same only quieter
3-alternating loud/quite
4-Sick clicks
5-4x#1,4x#2,4x#3,4x#4 repeat
6-Count ONE-2-3-4, repaet
7-RR/LL
8-Eyes closed listen to the metronome, slightly move to the rythm.
She said she could manage 2 times per week.
I'm going to try to get tickets to Steve Gadd

We ended up having tea/coffee/caoco/chocolate.

Training

I am very happy to be back in the training department.
Currently I'm with my second international client, first was the Dutch and now the Swiss. I'm part way through a four week course with them, this is week three.

I'm very happy to be training again.

Cute coprinus, unfortunately not the edible kind.
They are saprophitic. Dog dodo and stumps are good fare for them.
I’ve been fine. How’ve you been? And Loren? And puppy?

PS: Rocco and I will be dining in St-Laurent this week. Maybe you would like to join us?
Details at 11.
