Oh My God...
Has been so hard getting up in the mornings. I mean really...
A huge difference in routine between here and India, physically and emotionally.
Put on the upbeat Gayatri mantra and did standard 6 sun sals. It's the first time I've been up before 07:30 since getting back.
Time to plan for the return to Thursday night practice with the gang to pick up a little momentum. Will send invitation to day for renewing the routine some time in the new year.
I've got an idea for special practice for Gilles...
On the odometer this morning.
"my ipod has changed my life"
I listen to a lot of music and I can certainly imagine how this nifty little device would be the way to go for music people on the go. Though I always cringed a bit when I heard people make this claim... it's only a portable media player...
Since I've gotten into the habbit of using my ipod regularly, I have found myself thinking the same thing. Go figure...
On the Shuffle mix this morning...
Aaron Nevile
Shreikback
Laurie Anderson
Sigur Ros
Laurie Anderson
Bill Frisell
Van Morrison
another Van Morrison
Led Zepplin
Despite the list looking a little varied (for lack of a better word) it had a great flow, and How Many More Times, gave just enough edge to put a rock-based pep in my step.
Well this am I practiced to U Parsvakonasana, then finishing, then did steam bath/cold shower/sauna/cold shower/steam bath all before 08:00. Got to work before 08:30 and spent less than 20 minutes in commute.
Have got a membership at the gym close to work. There's no yoga classes in the morning!! I get the studio all to myself... very nice perk.
The membership, after the corporate, discount, and after our corporate reimbursement, comes to about 20$ per month. This is a steal! Especially considering they offer towel service!!
Liz was concerned when she saw me come in... "you've got severe wind burn or something!"
"Relax Liz... it's my sensitive skin, my yoga and intense hydro/heat therapy, I'll look normal in about an hour or so."
This is a good routine.
Just lost 15 minutes of writing in textpad by trying to add to the custome dictionary... it was the word asana which crashed the application btw...
Oh well...
Nice holidays... some asana, more notes later. Must say it's wonderful to be able to take steam bath and sauna after practice... ahhhhh...
Happy holidays...
[original version much more interesting... and longer...]
