Last night had a beautiful meal in the 25th floor restaurant of my hotel. It was a 6 course Japanese meal, cost me about 6400 y, including a nice 150ml sake. Everything was incredibly delicious.
It was called the Sashimi Course, and came with a small appetizer, could it have been tiny raw calmare? Then a sashimi plate with about 9 pieces of the freshest fish I ever had, yum yum yum. A steamed dumpling of some sort, a broth with 2 super tender pieces of pork, and a rice dish with local vegetables, a small salad, and a fruit plate, consisting of one orange wedge and four grapes.
I ate this lovely meal as I was staring down the huge sky scrappers of Tokyo with their slow blinking red obstruction lights, like dark giant anime-samurai, standing at attention.
