Falling behind in the Victoria Bridge photos. They are getting taken every day... just not uploaded. The interface of this blog is not a quick one for uploading. Maybe there's plug ins for that?? And I suspect that it's not fair to Julie that I hit her server with so much content. I'm thinking that I'll have to set up a flickr account for the photos... we'll see...

Well last week saw the turning of a chapter in the Thursday night GAS gathering...
It was Christine's last visit before she take off on her [what I'm sure will be] life changing trip to Costa Rica. I've acquired one of her framed photographs and it's hanging in the kitchen, so in a way she'll continue to be present.

Why not hang it in the practice room?
Because the yoga happens after practice in the kitchen where we share pot-luck treats.

Colin was away last week, which was too bad, he's a key feature of the gathering, and he didn't get an opportunity to be there to bring his typical uplifting contribution (tempted to say jovial) and say good-bye. And of course it's too bad he missed the magnificent apple pie Christine baked... good thing he's not a dessert guy...

Smaller group tonight... looks like me and Gilles. Considering practicing along to Richard Freeman tonight. My bet is that Gilles will really like Richard's verbal cues...

Maybe going to eat a bit less after practice as well?? We'll see...

Last night over dinner, Loren and I were talking about our friend Danny. We all go way back. Danny is a close friend and a mentor. Indeed he is some one who guided and significantly affected my spiritual path. We got news yesterday that he's in the hospital, not doing well at all as far as we can tell.

As I took the last sip of my beer reflecting on the situation, I couldn't help but being truly grateful for my own health and circumstances, and I turned my thoughts and prayers toward Danny, who has in the last few days, been sipping on morphine...
