Quite a week...

Italy appears as if it'll be postponed to 09. Likely won't be scheduled at such a fantastic time for visiting and vacation. Going to check for aeroplan constraints just in case it goes on as planned. Looks likely that Loren and I won't be able to vacation as we had expected, drag...

Saw Christine Tuesday night for dinner at home, she brought her Costa-Rica book to show. AND APEACH PIE!!!
We had cheese and bread and Loren made a salmon soup and rice and bean salad. We opened a bottle of Nino-Fanco and had a really nice time...

Saw Glen (not cousin Glen) Wednesday night...
We figured out it had bee just about a year since we last saw each other. Visited his new apartment in Westmount (around the corner from cousin Glens's last apartment) and then hit the road... Beer and a burger at the Claremont, then a coffee and finally back to his place so we could watch Jill Bolte Taylor's TED talk. He picked up some spiced pecans for Carla and I got 4 ginger molasses cookies for Loren. He lent me Zatoichi, and Loren and I watched it last night. Wonderful film with just the right amount of quirkiness. He's taken up classical guitar, and cites me as a source of inspiration. Touching...

Had a wonderful visit with Karen Thursday morning, and an excellent asana session Thursday night. Small gang; Gilles Colin and me. Charles is on the road, Christine is now teaching, and Jace had a friend in from out of town. Also great post-asana treats, cheeses, breads, spreads, samosas, salmon, and that very tasty L'Alchemist IPA (from Joliette). Yum yum... It was the first session in a long time where we actually got around to some seated postures. Did up to Janu-C. It was a lot of work... everybody had the trembles afterwards.

Spent lots of time at work with Gilles at work getting initial exposure to our new technology. Looks quite likely that I may get to go to Germany for a couple of weeks at the end of October. It's a big deal for the company...

Massive attack Collar Stays On playing on the ipod as I type...

Got the eco-rebate for the Smart... just in time too. Property taxes and school taxes have put me through the ringer. Now I've got Loren paid off for a small rolling debt that's been accumulating. Feels great. Though the moon-roof on the Smart gone off the rails and is now not functional. I'll likely wait until the first check-up to have it fixed...

And of course Monday night, with Henri.
Wow... some Big Stuff has been coming out of those sessions...
During the last few minutes of the session, one of those unexpected things happened... on a tangent your partner starts explaining their feelings... and your brain can't believe what it's hearing (because the feelings are buried in blame), but it hardly matters anyway as your heart and soul get torn out of place... and you're reeling as the universe (and all the worlds??) reassembles...

Spent the rest of the week in a bit of a daze...
I've been dazed before, and it's not that problematic as long as you don't take life too seriously.
Loren and I finally got around to talking about it today (Sunday night as the time of writing). The situation is quite settled, as I get the emotional place she was coming from when she opened up, but am still a bit alarmed by her perception, and by the summary. Then we took Zen for a walk and I got myself over to 295 for an early start to the week with 1:08 (minutes) of surya namaskar. So much sweat that I get that birthing/drowning feeling, it's wonderful.

Blue corn chips and Mrs. Renfro's salsa-verde, a cold beer (Sleeman 20) and a fruit bowl (pineapple and strawberries with a little brown sugar and creme) for dessert.

Again... it's late...
