4 Weeks Notice
Two weeks ago, I gave my boss two weeks notice. I gave him the option for two more weeks and he took it. My last day as an employee is on July 31. Once again, I'll be unemployeed...wooohooo!!! Wait not so fast...I did agree to work part-time on a per diem basis from August 15 to September 14.
I should have know better but I've come to the realization that I'm not employee material. I'm so burned out at the moment my whole life is in shambles. The next few months will be spent picking up the pieces and trying to figure out where I went wrong or why I had to go through what I just went through. What was I thinking? I'll have a lot of time to think about that soon.
The good news is that it's time to think about and prepare for Mysore. I'm finally making my fourth trip back. I remember telling myself not too long ago that I would visit Mysore every year for at least 3 months for the next 5 years and maybe longer. I can't believe this is going to be my fourth trip.
This coming trip is going to be a little different from all my prior trips. I decided that I'm going to do a little more travelling. My tentative schedule will look something like this:
-September 24 leave LA for Thailand and spend 10 days in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. I'm looking forward to seeing Bangkok and visiting the Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai.
-Leave around October 4 for Mysore
-Sometime in late October spend 3 to 4 days in Cochin to meet up with an old friend of my mom. His a Kashmiri whose lived in New York for the past 45 years or so. I've met him once and spoken to him a few times. A really cool person to be with.
-Sometime in November I might head to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu for a few days.
-When the shala closes in December or January , I plan to head north to Rajastan and maybe Dharamsala or Rhisikesh...hopefully all those places.
-Leave Mysore in the middle of January and head to Thailand again for another week or so. I expect to be back in LA at the end of January.
