He is really growing up. It is hard to say good bye to those little baby/toddler years....but believe me they are gone....well all except he still has really awesone chubby legs to squeeze....

Okay I did something I have actually not done before....a "re-practice"....meaning after my crap morning of half primary, I came home from work with the boys and started again. I was planning to take them to the pool, but one of those torrential downpours hit just after I got them in the car....so instead we hit the video shop on the way home....for the 1$ rental day.....they each picked out 2 movies! ANd were very excited. SO we got home and I got them set up for a wee video party (as I call it). Huxley was really into it but Connie not so much. ANyway I decided I would do a few salutes and then just mess around a bit....but actually I ended up doing all of standing up to Parsvottanasana...and so then decided to head into second series...why not? It was not a steller practice, but it was okay....not fluid of full of grace, just the opposite really...but Conrad and I had some fun. He took some pix and some videos that are really funny....like where he starts the filing and then comes in front of the camera....quite a cutie. I did find out that I can come up from tripod headstand into urdhva kukkutasana A, but then had no idea what to do next....this was part of the post asthanga goof off stage....but it is sort of fun to play with new things

This morning I felt even worse than yesterday morning....I think it is my low energy week, plus I also had a really upset stomach from something i had yesterday during most of the night.....so instead of dragging myself in for another crap practice...I gave it a miss this morning....took the rest in that I needed....we all needed as it turned out...the kids woke up later than usual...so we had a great morning at home....and were quite late for school....but who cares! It is nearly summer. I am teaching at lunchtime and then will practice in the afternoon Mysore session....

I also had a very touching conversation with Huxley last night. He was really worried about dying, not wanting to get old and die. He said he talks to his heart and says...."Heart, please do not stop beating," and then he said, " but mom, heart's do not have eyes and a mouth to talk back to me." I cuddled him up in my arms and told him about when he would get the hiccups when I was pregnant with him.....and we both laughed.

So the closing in on the holidays is here. I actually went to the mall yesterday to get xmas lights....and, get this I ended up staying just a bit too long, so I could not get to practice in the afternoon before having to get the kidlings....But it was worth it to decorate the tree with them....I should say Huxley calls it a Christmas plant, becuase when he trodded off to ask the grumpy shop keeper if he had a Christmas trees...he said, NO with a frown no less....I jumped in an said "remember H, we are getting a tree we can plant at our house on Waiheke".....then the shopkeeper said "well, we do have Christmas plants." Saved.....

SO the reason I got so side trached at THE mall....I mean that there is only one in this country I think...... was because I was looking at Bionicles and Transformers.....more or less weapon laden looking robot/insect looking creatures which are a boy's delight apparently. What do I know.....so it took awhile.

I also managed to find a few things for others in the family that we will be spending xmas with on Waiheke Island....we leave next Wednesday!!!!! 5 days on the island. Then we get back to Auckland and head down to the East Cape, Gisborne for another 2 weeks!

And then only 6 weeks til I head HHHHHHHOOOOOOMMMMMEEEEEE! and then hush hush to SF for SKPJ 06.... :).

Any tips on accomodation hunting....so appreciated....
