"Hurt"

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that's real
the needle tears a hole
the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
but I remember everything
what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
upon my liar's chair
full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
you are someone else
I am still right here

what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

if I could start again
a million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Oh the Cold...

I am NOT ready for winter. The cold and damp of it, the rain.....edit...the BUCKETS of RAIN. Where does it come from? No wonder parts of the world suffer so much from drought.....it is all down here.

Lots of yoga stuff happening, but not a lot I want to write about.....too, hmmmmm, negative. But rest assured my practice is going great. Still coming down from the weeks in San Fran...wow, so much wonderful energy. So many wonderful people.

Notes to SF possy.... I have more or less sorted the "jump back".... it ain't pretty, but I think I am doing it now, without the little cheat, at least some of the time.

On other news.....Easter weekend and school holidays start at 3pm TODAY....well I still have to go and teach a class tonight....but then we got ourselves a five day-er ahead. So that is a blessing....cuz I need to spend some down time with the family. We are headed to Puka Puka, about an hour north of Auckland. SHould be a great little hideaway weekend.

Eastah

SO the weekend away was perfect more or less. Quiet and sleepy. We went for walks, met friends for lunch, played on the beach, watched a few DVD's, read books, ate chocolate eggs......

Craig and I had a brief conversation about the current state of life...where we each want to go and be in the next few years...what is possible, what is practical....hmmm...did not get very far actually.

But I suppose the conversation has begun....so will keep ya posted. Anything can happen, right?...

Number One Hated Pose (for the time being)

First of all crocodiles do not hop with all four feet/legs at once.....if they did they would probably feel like a dork...which is exactly how I feel when I try to do this miserable asana..... and why can't I just do this stupid hopping business with my elbows out, vs elbows in...it is much much easier, yet is of course a "cheat"....so what....I mean I ALWAYS cheat at Monopoly....it is not a fun game unless you do....

I think I have sussed out one small issue with this blasted pose...and that is to keep my chest forward more, hands back more...so that I have somewhere to push from.....chaturanga to chaturanga....five forward, five back.....Urgh.
