Yoga, in Yuma?

What a long strange trip it has been. The last entry I was living in the Bay, going to Vances class once a week, and manufacturing pharmaceuticals for money. A good friend of mine offered me a job in Yuma Arizona on the Colorado River restoring wetlands. My girlfriend and baby decided to stay in the Bay, so off I went into the wilderness. Three months later I am living a dream. Keep waiting for the walls to come crashing down. My job is kick ass. I drive around on a ATV, take pictures, and grow trees. The girlfriend isn't pissed anymore, and I think one day she will even move down here. Maybe I shouldn't say that, try to live in the present.
The yoga practice slowed down a bit, but it is definately firing back up. Alot easier to practice at home (its all I got) when it is 75 degrees at 6 A.M. I wonder if the weather is more like Mysore down here. Maybe minus the humidity. The thing I miss the most is there isn't anyone to get me into Mari D. Hopefully that will force me to do it myself. I don't have the community of topshelf yogis around me anymore. Now I am the most experienced in town. Thats a trip.

Bad man in former life

I guess I was. I've been doing this yoga stuff for over a decade now, and I just can't seem to get over the hump. If I practice everyday my right shoulder (or something else) starts to kill me. I had a great practice on Sunday, and man for two days my shoulder has been throbbing. Maybe I need to see an osteopath to realign some bones. Or maybe I hunch over too much and just need to work on opening the front of my shoulders. Tommorrow I will slow down my sun salutes and rotate my shoulders back during up dog.
