Simplicity and overcoming obstacles
Reading the blogs today and hearing about life and Yoga in New York is kind of funny. Growing up outside of San Francisco when I hit my teens I loved going into the city, all the new stuff, all the different people, hangin with the hippies on Haight, concerts in the park, all the flavors of life. Now that I live in a small farming community, I don't know that I miss it. Maybe its because I was raised in the suburbs. I kind of like less options. I like home practice. Although I do like Vances in Berzerkly. My practice isn't about going out into the world, but is just about doing it. Don't think I would have ever got here though if it wasn't for those experiences in the late 90's in the Bay Area studios.
The yoga keep amazing me. I keep thinking I can't do things, but then somehow it changes. Didn't tink I would ever do Mari D. Didn't think I would ever practice 5-6 days a week. Can still remember practicing twice a week and being wiped.
Spring time is new growth, and this weekend I will sit down and try to open up some new areas. Practice that new harmonuium sitting in my front room.
